Store Riddersborg

Store Riddersborg is a vast property located in the southern part of Nakskov, in western Lolland. This property embodies historical grandeur, featuring impressive buildings and a breathtaking view of Nakskov fjord. In 2022, the new generation of the family-owned farm undertook the task of renovating the historic main house, which spans almost 500 square meters, while keeping the historical context intact and making it suitable for modern living.

Collaborating with a colour specialist, the family meticulously selected colours that complement the restored rooms, highlight unique details, and neatly executed joinery. The family chose to connect the first-floor distribution corridor to the impressive hall using the same expression of the lamps. The Miira 13 Large chandelier, strategically placed at the hall's entrance, and the Liila 1 Medium lamps in the distribution corridor have the same style of glass and brass colour, producing a coherent and serene ambience.

The consistent lamp selection continues in the family's living room with the Miira 8 Circular in brass. The opal white glass was chosen to provide even lighting, which can be adjusted as needed. The house features light dimmers throughout, allowing the family to alter the light to create the perfect mood and work lighting. By doing so, they ensure that they are surrounded by good light, which positively affects their well-being.
