Designer Paolo Rizzatto - Nuura

Paolo Rizzatto was born in Milan in 1941, where he studied for his degree in architecture at Milan Polytechnic in 1965 when he was 24. Rizzatto works as a freelance in the fields of architecture, interiors, design, lighting and teaching. He founded Luceplan together with Riccardo Sarfatti in 1978.

“Throughout my extensive career as a lighting designer, I have received many invitations to work with lots of different stakeholders in the lighting sector: multinational corporations and companies of all sizes. I had not considered these offers since 1978, when I founded my previous company, Luceplan. Until now,” - Paolo Rizatto.

His architecture and design projects form part of permanent exhibitions and numerous museums: architectural associations in London, Milano Triennale, Wave Hill Museum Centre in New York, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
