Det Grå Hus, Copenhagen

Office

At 'Det Grå Hus' in Carlsbergbyen, Copenhagen, Nuura's chandeliers create a stunning interplay of light and history in the entrance hall, illuminating a space steeped in legacy. Developed in 1875 by Hack Kampmann, the building once housed Carl Jacobsen's offices, where the Carlsberg brewery founder's son orchestrated his ambitious vision. This space blends the elegance of Kampmann's architecture with Nuura's lighting, creating a perfect fusion of past and present. As visitors pass through, they are greeted by ornate elephant-head door handles - a nod to Jacobsen's affection for these animals - and the inspiring Carlsberg motto, "Semper Ardens," set proudly above the doorway.

Nuura's chandeliers add a contemporary expression and quality light. The good light reverberates against the intricate historic mouldings and sweeping staircase, encapsulating Carlsbergbyen's rich cultural and industrial heritage.
